Angela Coyne WATERFORD, Ireland — It is with heavy hearts that friends, family, and the local community mourn the passing of Angela Coyne, who died yesterday afternoon at Waterford Regional Hospital.
Angela, celebrated for her vibrant personality and love of music, was a fixture at the Last Friday Music Sessions, bringing joy and laughter with her ever-present instruments and infectious spirit. Known for her signature style — arriving in her red little Micra, wearing her wooly “Last of the Summer Wine” hat, and carrying her rolly bag of instruments — she truly was a character through and through.
In July 2025, Angela celebrated her 80th birthday, an occasion filled with love, laughter, and the admiration of all who knew her. She worked diligently at the hotel until the age of 74, ensuring the kitchen sparkled and leaving a lasting legacy of hard work and dedication, before passing the baton to her grandson, Patsy.
Friends remember her for the simple joys she loved: a smoke, homemade chips and battered fish prepared by Ronnie, and sharing good-natured banter with Ger the barman. Her warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit made her unforgettable.
Angela Coyne will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community. Her legacy of music, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sincere condolences are extended to all her family during this difficult time.
